Along with the Foshay, this is a minneapolis architectural must. What is interesting is that the IDS stole the tallest building title from the Foshay Tower in 1974 which it held for 43 years. There is such a difference architecturally between the two. The IDS also as the potential for 32 corner offices due to the "zogs" in the building. Built by architect Philip Johnson.
