A few years ago I went to the Eero Saarinen show that was a collaboration between the Minneapolis Institute of Art and the Walker. At the MIA I learned about a little gem of a church that just happened to be with in 4 blocks of my house. The sanctuary and bell tower was originally built by EEliel Saarinen in 1949, then in 1962 Eero added the education wing.
This church is pretty sweet. The interior is pretty amazing acoustically as well how the light comes in behind the pulpit. It is great having such and amazing architectural piece in the neighborhood.
