Playing with order and disorder: As I have been putting ideas down in sketch form or painting on plywood, I find comfort in order. That said, I really admire people that can totally disconnect from reality and explore pure expression. I have been playing somewhere in between. I prefer the feel of a hand drawn line over a vector. In the inperfections there is life, there is personality. I also like balance and pattern. Thinking of the work of Alexander Calder and Sol Le Witt I have been working on a few pieces. Calder with his organic mobiles that come together in perfect balance and Sol Le Witt's work that brings extremely precise line work with some hand drawn elements to show the pure hand of the artist.
