A PLACE TO START.

Born in Sioux City Iowa in 1974. Son to William Alfred Vermilyea and Audrey Fay Vermilyea, brother to Mark Jon Vermilyea.

Our family moved around but landed in the Bloomington MN when I was 5. Influence by my mom doing crafts, and my dad who knew how to build, I have always had the bug to make.

I was exposed to skateboarding in the mid 80’s by my brother, it soon filled my days. Fascinated by logos and ads, skateboarding exposed me graphic design, but I wouldn’t know it until about 10 years later.

My art teacher in High school recommended Moorhead State for their art department. Phil Mousseau, Kathleen Enz-Finkin, Allen Sheets, Anna Arnar, (professors). Melanie Haroldson, Brent Gale, Tim Nelson, Chris Averbeck, Brian Gunderson, Chris Cornejo, Angela Prado. (fellow design students).

BFA Graphic Design, Charmichael Lynch Thorburn internship, Initio Internship, Design
Center, Frixsion, Target-present.

As a designer I feel the need for constant progression in and out of work. This is where I am today. THE REST IS PROGRESS.
